1. Caramel Popcorn Cupcakes
This recipe goes all out; there are crushed caramel popcorn pieces in the batter, the center of each cupcake is filled with caramel, then topped with caramel buttercream, caramel popcorn, and drizzled with salted caramel sauce. Wow!
These cupcakes are made with cereal-infused milk and topped with cereal milk buttercream. This is definitely one of the most creative recipes I’ve ever come across and they look like so much fun to make and decorate!
3. Pancake Cupcakes
Another breakfast themed recipe; buttermilk maple cupcakes topped with buttercream, mini pancakes, and squares of butter, and drizzled with maple syrup. These are certainly unique.
4. Watermelon Cupcakes
These fun cupcakes scream summer! Also, the bright colors make these the perfect addition to a kids’ birthday party. The cupcakes are made with sour cream and colored with green food coloring and the frosting is actually watermelon flavored.

This dessert looks dangerously good! These cupcakes have a graham cracker crust, a brownie cake layer, and a fluffy brown sugar meringue to top it all off. The recipe states that drizzling with melted chocolate and salted caramel is optional but it looks pretty mandatory to me!
19. Neapolitan Cupcakes
We all know this classic combo when it comes to ice cream but seeing it as a cupcakes is a first for me. Starting from bottom to top; a chocolate cupcake layer, a vanilla cupcake layer, and strawberry buttercream.
Assembly for this recipe is simple; cut the cupcakes in half horizontally, spread the bottom with rich pastry cream, top with the other half, and spoon over the chocolate glaze. The execution of this idea could not be more perfect.
21. Banana Pudding Cupcakes
These cupcakes have all the elements of banana pudding and everything is made completely from scratch, including the banana pudding itself and the whipped cream!
These buttermilk lime cupcakes are made with tequila and brushed with tequila after baking. Oh, and there’s tequila in the frosting as well. So that means only 2 cupcakes per person, maximum! After that, you’re cut off.
