There are lots of ways that you can eat biscuits; with cheese baked right in or with jam smeared in the middle but biscuit based dessert recipes are so good and this one is definitely one of my faves. Not only because they’re delicious but also because they come together in no time and I don’t have to make them from scratch so it’s really convenient.

Of course you can just make biscuits from scratch but making cinnamon biscuits from a can are for those lazy days for when you want something for that sweet tooth right then and there!

Plus, there’s nothing wrong with having a few shortcut recipes in your back pocket.

It’s amazing the things you can make with a can of store-bought biscuit dough.

Cinnamon sugar has got to be one of the most simply addicting things to eat. It’s literally two ingredients but when added to other foods it somehow just manages to make things go from great to amazing!

And I just love the smell of sweet cinnamon biscuits wafting through the house in the morning.

I love the smell of cinnamon-anything, really.

{Full recipe at the bottom}

  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 – 10 biscuits)
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Four very simple ingredients. I’m positive that you have the last three. They’re staples in every kitchen. And refrigerated biscuit dough is really inexpensive and common among most grocery stores.

I used pillsbury biscuits for this recipe but there all kinds of different brands of refrigerated biscuit dough out there so take your pick. Just make sure that there is enough dough in the can for 8 – 10 biscuits.
